This position will assist in the delivery and set up of computers, and assist in a project to move computers from Novell to Active Directory. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the delivery and setup of computers for faculty and staff, working with the employee to move and store electronic documents as they receive new or redistributed computers.
- Coordinating and providing basic technology and computer software and hardware support to the university community.
- Serving as second tier contact for technology support services on campus.
- Coordinating and maintaining communication with other computing professionals on campus for smooth, efficient use of computers on campus.
- Performing other duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required, with some college coursework preferred.
- Minimum one year experience using, troubleshooting, or managing technology, preferably in an educational setting.
- Extensive, current knowledge of personal computer hardware and software, network, operating systems and infrastructure, and Internet technologies.
- Demonstrated skills in computer troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to analyze needs and solve problems.
- Must be able to physically lift and carry 25 lbs.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Strong communication skills, written and oral, and interpersonal skills.
