Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication processes, including welding and assembly. This role involves working in a construction site environment where precision and adherence to codes and standards are paramount. The Metal Fabricator will be responsible for building and rigging metal structures, ensuring quality and safety throughout the fabrication process.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and build metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
• Rig materials and structures as required for various projects.
• Perform welding tasks using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) techniques.
• Must be fully capable of performing MIG and TIG welding.
• Utilize basic math skills to measure, cut, and shape materials accurately.
• Operate machining tools, including micrometers, to ensure precise dimensions are achieved.
• Follow industry codes and standards to maintain compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area on the construction site.

Requirements

• Proven experience in metal fabrication, welding, or related fields.
• Proficiency in FCAW and other welding techniques.
• Strong understanding of construction site practices and safety protocols.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Familiarity with using micrometers and other measuring tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
