Job Summary

We are seeking a Product Owner to support our General Ledger (GL) capabilities, critical infrastructure at the heart of our financial systems. In this role, you will own and evolve core GL functionality, ensuring it meets the complex and changing needs of our internal stakeholders and aligns with broader organizational product strategies. Youll play a pivotal role in defining and prioritizing product features and user stories that impact financial accuracy, compliance, and reporting integrity. As the bridge between our development teams and finance stakeholders, youll translate accounting and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable backlog items. This is a key opportunity to modernize foundational financial capabilities while maintaining the reliability and rigor the business depends on.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Participate in sprint planning and review meetings, providing input on scope and priorities. Make real-time decisions and trade-offs during development to ensure product success.

Ensure that features align to desired outcomes from Product Management and the business stakeholders.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define desired product capability outcomes (operational efficiencies, ease of use, etc.).

Gather and analyze user feedback to continuously improve product features and functionality and ensure realization of defined outcomes.

Create and manage the product backlog, prioritizing features and user stories based on customer value and business priorities. Clearly define user stories, acceptance criteria, and success criteria.

Continuously identify opportunities to create and maintain product effectiveness.

Provide insight and requirements to ensure appropriate data quality and process controls.

Plan and support product capability launches, including communication and training for internal teams and customers and product support documentation for ongoing maintenance and development.

Education Requirements

Associate degree in business management, Finance, Credit, Lending, Agriculture or related field or equivalent work experience required.

Years of Experience

4+ years experience as a Product Owner with a strong track record of successful product delivery or business expertise through work experience paired with strong communication, attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.

SAFe Certification for Product Owners preferred. Previous accounting or GL experience a plus.
