Position Description

Lindsay is searching foran Associate Product Manager to join the Olathe, KS product team. The Associate Product Manager will be responsible for Industrial Connected Solutions portfolio and manage product development from defining requirements to introduction of new product to the market. Works closely with commercial, engineering and other functional teams by understanding the application and executing the projects to deliver the solution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze Voice of the Customer information for determining new products or features that should be added to our product offering
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to engage with customers to understand, define and document market trends and customer needs.
  • Own and outline the product requirements that specifies detailed functionality, required integrations, use cases and key metrics that need to be part of the product
  • Understand and clearly communicate product needs and program goals with stakeholders
  • Provide in-depth competitive analysis and sales support for the designated solutions
  • Develop and maintain 3-5 year product roadmaps for the portfolio
  • Develop and communicate business cases for future development projects
  • Manage and coordinate with 3rd parties involved in the new product development activities
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting developmental timelines and milestones
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders such as marketing, sales and channel partners on the creation of positioning and collateral to support market penetration and sales growth
  • Own development and execution of marketing and launch plans in coordination with sales and marketing teams
  • Support product documentation (datasheets, application notes, training materials and technical seminars/webinars) that promote awareness effectiveness and ease of use of our products.
  • Maintaining quality control of products, including management of engineering change orders and corrective action reports, as well as detailed workplans for validating the change.
  • Participate and engage with customers and channel partners at tradeshows and industry events

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2+ years product management and/or project management experience
  • 1+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with various functional areas within the organization
  • Experience in IIOT or similar technology products that cover the whole spectrum from hardware to communication to cloud infrastructure to user platform
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to make presentations to large groups of customers or channel partners
  • Excellent leadership, project management and organizational skills
