Some of the duties at this position include: 
  • Supervise and consistently serve as a role model in the establishment and daily practice of quality and best practice standards of service within program managed
  • Provide leadership in initiating programmatic and organizational processes and change to improve effectiveness and further the accomplishment of organizational mission and program goals and objectives.
  • Identify and implement action steps necessary for reaching specific quantitative and qualitative program goals and objectives; focus on desired end results of work effort on individual, team, and organizational basis.
  • Assign workloads, staff responsibilities, and program resources equitably and in accordance with identified program and organizational goals and objectives
  • Regularly participate and positively contribute to management team meetings, organizational meetings, internal planning processes, intra-agency, and program committees, program development initiatives, and other organizational initiatives and functions. 
  • Practice motivational conversation strategies and techniques throughout the assessment, individual program planning, and rehabilitative process and actively promote and facilitate client self-determination, assuring same among subordinate supervisors and direct service staff within the program area.
  • Participate in, oversee, and assure processes to continuously assess, identify, and assist; consumers in managing symptoms of mental illness and co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders, including clinical and psychosocial interventions and support; within scope of licensure and training and as outlined in the individualized, recovery-focused plan of the person served.
  • Participate in, oversee, and assure processes which promote client development and utilization of Safety/Crisis plan and wellness self-management goals.
  • Provide leadership and direct involvement, within scope of licensure, certification, training and experience in identifying and addressing difficult client situations in a positive, proactive, professional manner focused on problem-solving and furthering the recovery process of the person served.
  • Clearly understand, interpret and apply organizational and program policies and procedures in accordance with agency standards; demonstrate knowledge and support of policies, both verbally and by role-modeling consistent policy compliance; actively promote identification with, contribution to, and support of the organization as a whole.
  • Assume an active leadership role in assessing risk and employing risk management strategies on a client, staff, program, and organizational level.
       Qualifications:
  • Earned Master’s degree in social work, rehabilitation, counseling, public health, healthcare administration, public administration or other relevant field from an accredited academic institution required.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in working in behavioral health, public health, and/or other community-based health and human service fields.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated management, supervisory, and/or other successful leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge, skills, and experience in developing and implementing program; models, evidenced-based practices, change management, and evaluation strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-initiate and complete tasks in areas of responsibility, organize self and others, exercise substantial discretion, independently problem-solve and make decisions, and motivate individuals to achieve a common goal.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with, and successfully lead an intra-professional and diverse team.
  • Ability to connect, communicate, and effectively work with people from diverse cultural, ethnic, socio-economic, educational, and professional backgrounds and, ability to maintain effective working relationships with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing on a consistent basis.
  • Proficiency in the use of data in analysis and decision-making.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule based on organizational and position needs and to; promptly respond on an on-call basis to emergent situations.
