Contact Lens Technician #HIRING

Midwest Eye Care is looking for a Contact Lens Technician at our location at 4353 Dodge Street location.

Full-time (36-42 hours per week)

Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm or 8:30am – 5:30pm

In this role YOU will:

• Help patients with their contact lens needs: select appropriate lens material and design, assess contact lens fit, comfort, and vision, processing orders, applying insurance and various other tasks.
• Educate patients on contact lens products, proper care of contact lens, and insertion and removal of contact lenses.
• Perform documentation, patient education and enter charges. Assist with the flow of patient care.
• Explain vision benefits to patients and collect fees.
• Communicate with lab and patients regarding fitting and billing.
• Maintain professionalism to provide excellent customer service for patients; practices confidentiality and privacy protocols by following policies and HIPAA requirements.

Outstanding candidates will have:

• Exceptional verbal communication and documentation skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service skills, a positive demeanor and a teamwork mindset.
• NCLE Certification or two years previous related work experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Experience and competency with computer applications, organizational and mathematical skills
• Willingness to travel between different locations in the Omaha Metro area. (We pay mileage and travel time)
• This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma/GED

Offered Candidates will need to do the following before first day:

• Successfully complete a background check which includes an education verification, and a motor vehicle record check. Positions handling payments will also complete a credit check post offer.
• Successfully complete drug testing.
