Description

We are seeking a Full-Time Construction Administration Technician in our Omaha office. The ideal candidate for this team will be a self-starter who can communicate effectively with clients and team members. This individual will have a proven track record of Construction Observation.   Additionally, this candidate will:

  • Observe, collect, and report the progress of current projects such as sanitary sewers, storm sewers, and paving operations
  • Coordinate material testing with outside vendors for soil densities, concrete properties, and other requirements as needed
  • Responsible for the completion of Working Day Reports and Daily Diaries
  • Demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors on project sites
  • Work outdoors in both developed and natural environments

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel
  • Ability to demonstrate problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively work independently
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with longer hours while maintaining concentration in varying weather conditions
  • Ability and willingness to work in both the field and office settings
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk and stand frequently
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record & reliable vehicle

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering* or related. 
  • Engineering Intern (EI) designation 
  • Previous experience with Construction Observation or Engineering field services experience

*Candidates with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering will be considered for our rotation program. This specialized program offers individuals with an engineering degree the opportunity to gain valuable exposure to both design and construction. The goal is to enhance the preparation of our Engineering Interns for their Professional Engineer exam by providing a comprehensive and hands-on experience.
