The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will report to the Chief Information Officer and lead our technological strategy, driving innovation while ensuring alignment with business objectives to deliver superior services and better health care outcomes for our customers. This role will have a profound understanding of product development, digital transformation, customer experience, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI). This in-person role will be based in the Omaha Metro Area.

What you'll do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a cohesive strategy that uses the latest technology to support the company's mission and business goals. Lead transformation initiatives to make technology a driver and competitive advantage in a rapidly evolving industry.

  • Product and Technology Integration: Develop technology solutions with a strong product mindset, ensuring seamless integration of product, technology, and data to innovate and personalize customer solutions effectively.

  • Customer Experience (CX): Champion the integration of technology to enhance omnichannel customer interactions, satisfaction, and retention. Drive initiatives to personalize and streamline customer journeys across all touchpoints.

  • Analytics and AI Solutions: Lead the creation of data and analytics platforms, developing solutions that make AI technologies more useful and impactful for customers, enhancing their overall experience and outcomes.

  • AI and Machine Learning: Lead the development and deployment of AI technologies to integrate with the health care ecosystem, automate processes, improve claim handling, fraud detection, and deliver personalized health recommendations.

  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing tech team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Technology Infrastructure: Provide thought leadership to optimize the IT infrastructure and applications to ensure security, scalability, compliance, and reliability. Stay updated with emerging technologies relevant to health insurance.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with other C-level executives, board members, and external partners to align tech initiatives with broader company strategies.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all technology systems and practices comply with healthcare regulations like HIPAA, HITRUST and other relevant standards.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelorâ??s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years in a senior engineering leadership role, proven experience in product management, digital transformation, CX enhancement, leveraging AI and analytics. Experience at a fast-growing, fast-paced company is an advantage.

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Deep knowledge of software development, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data management.

  • Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

  • Ability to think strategically and drive innovation; strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities; ability to foster and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Experience managing and developing large high-performing teams. Ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with partners of all levels across the enterprise; sensitivity and understanding required for successful culture relations.

  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced environment.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement. The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments. On-call work may be required based on business needs and role assignment. The ability to work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.
