Shift Details:

M-F

Flexible start times between 8am - 9:30am based on need.

Primarily located at Clarkson, but will also work at Village Pointe as needed.

Provide and coordinate oral interpretation and written translation services for patients, families, customers, and staff of the clinical enterprise.

Required Qualifications:

* Minimum of two years experience with language translation in both verbal and written communication required.
* High school education or equivalent required.

* Prior experience in a health care setting required.
* Completion of an approved Medical Interpreter Training Course within 60 days of hire or transfer date required (Training provided within the department onboarding process).
* Fluency in both verbal and written communication of the English and Spanish languages as well as familiarity with target cultures and customs required.
* Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to organize and manage multiple concurrent tasks required.

* Proficiency with computer programs for Microsoft Word, Excel, and Spanish Word required.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in languages, health care, or related field is preferred.
* Previous completion of an approved Medical Interpreter training course preferred.
* Knowledge of and experience with Propio One (telephone service), statistical databases, and video relay interpretation equipment preferred.
