Perform diagnostic testing to assist physicians and other healthcare professionals in the screening, diagnosis and treatment of patients. Use comprehensive knowledge to accurately perform and evaluate highly complex laboratory testing in an efficient manner. Demonstrate behavioral skills that contribute to a productive work environment and provide excellent customer service.
The MLS role performs, but is not limited to, these following activities.
Performs accessioning and sample processing.
Performs Histocompatibility testing to support the transplant service lines.
Helps with administrative duties including writing and maintaining procedures, completing proficiency testing, and maintaining supply inventory as needed.
Prepares reagent stock and working solutions.
