Facilitate operational and system training for new and current end-users for assigned applications across the Nebraska Medicine enterprise and community connect partners. Included areas are Access Operations (including decentralized scheduling and registration areas), HIM& Revenue Integrity, PFS and RC Admin. Training includes operational workflows and the use of Epic and all non-Epic revenue cycle applications through the development and maintenance of designated application materials, assessments, training support documents, e-learnings, and other educational materials to include new software release as well as regulatory changes and/or organizational/departmental policy changes. Facilitate and complete Quality Audits on a monthly basis for all areas. Operations/Applications Trainer and QA Associate will provide classroom training, onboarding of centralized and decentralized revenue cycle colleagues, providing at the elbow support to end users, administering test outs and assessments, completing quality audits, 1:1 quality training as required or other training related tasks. Onboarding includes training on organizational and departmental policies, new colleague system set up to include all applications, required badge access, and other assigned tasks. Operations/Applications Trainer and QA Associate will be responsible for completion of education and QA Ticket requests, maintenance of competency tests, monthly education sessions and materials for Nebraska Medicine and Community sites, associated modules and on-line training materials.
Required Qualifications:
* Minimum of two years business systems or healthcare related experience is required.
* Associates degree in nursing, allied health field, healthcare administration, health sciences, business or education is required OR equivalent combination of education and experience combined (one year of education equals one year of experience) required.
* High school education or equivalent required.
*Training in Epic applications and/or a supporting revenue cycle application required. Revenue cycle certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire. Certification can be in any area of revenue cycle (CPAS, CRCL or CPFSS).
*Knowledge of Revenue Cycle related workflows, regulations and compliance in revenue cycle areas required.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills, with individuals and groups of all educational levels and backgrounds required.
*Ability to adjust communication method and content to end-user education level, preference, and *need required.
*Attention to detail, organizational, and presentation skills required.
*Ability to present training in front of large groups of professionals required.
*Ability to problem-solve on the spot and effectively adapt to changing environment and training needs required.
*Excellent interpersonal and team building skills required.
*Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience facilitating classroom, online, and one-on-one training, experience with a formal Learning Management System, and experience utilizing Epic, or another electronic health record, are all preferred.
* Experience with formal learning management systems and the use of e-learning applications (Captivate, Articulate) desired. Prior training with all revenue cycle applications desired (Epic, 3M, Imaging System, SSI). preferred
*Knowledge and experience with healthcare information systems preferred.
*Knowledge of operational healthcare/clinic workflows preferred.
*Ability to retrieve and effectively communicate organizational policies, procedures, and business operations preferred.
*Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license OR appropriate allied health license in the state of Nebraska only as required in accordance with appropriate degree required.
