First Shift (United States of America)Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for talented individuals to join us as a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist - Adult Liver Transplant. This is a new position located at our main campus in Omaha, Nebraska that will be positioned to expand the capacities of our adult liver transplant program in both the inpatient and ambulatory settings. This position will engage with our multidisciplinary teams and work integrally with other members of the Solid Organ Transplant Pharmacy Team to facilitate the patient care and academic mission of the organization.
Upon the position's start date, an interested individual should have a minimum of 5 years of transplant pharmacy experience or completed a PGY2 residency program in Solid Organ Transplant. Board Certification in Transplant Pharmacy is strongly encouraged within 18-24 months of board eligibility.

Provide patient-oriented pharmaceutical care services including creation and maintenance of pharmaceutical care plans, cost-effective therapeutic drug monitoring, drug utilization, guideline development, and drug use evaluations. Provide training and educational support for development of clinical skills in professional staff. Facilitate educate other disciplines regarding appropriate use of drug therapy. Responsible for dissemination of new knowledge, utilization trends and outcomes information related to medication use/pharmaceutical care programs at the organization. Demonstrate a dedication to continual and constant quality improvement.
Required Qualifications: Clinical Pharmacist Specialist - Transplant
* Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience required.
* Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted required.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
Preferred Qualifications: Clinical Pharmacist Specialist - Transplant
* American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency preferred.
* Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred.
