Position Summary | Provide administrative support in the clinical section in the Department of Pathology and Microbiology, including direct support of individual faculty members. Responsible for general office duties and transcription of clinical documents. Expert knowledge of the principles of office management/procedures as applied to effective organization of office and department operations, as well as ability to plan and organize the workflow in a busy office environment. Excellent computer skills, including experience with word processing, database and spreadsheet software programs. Excellent customer service abilities, including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, as well as to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, department administrative staff, interdepartmental contacts and the general public. Ability to be organized and flexible in response to changing demands, handling a high volume of work under pressure. |
