Facilities Technician, Senior

Job Summary:

Zone Facility Technician Senior will successfully lead crews and complete Preventive Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Work Orders and Minor Renovations and to include the following trades: HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Temperature controls, Lighting and Electrical. This position will be responsible for assisting Zone Facility Managers and/or coordinators with the scheduling, coordinating, mentoring and leading crews.

Required Qualifications:

• Relevant coursework/specialized training in Facilities Management, related field or completion of an approved trade program in any of the following related trade programs: HVAC, Plumbing, Refrigeration, Lighting, Temperature Controls, Electrical.
• 6 years experience in any of the following related technical trades: HVAC, Plumbing, Refrigeration, Electrical, Temperature Controls.
• Must have a valid Driver's license.

Will consider eight years related education/experience.

• Successfully complete training courses as needed to perform the diagnostic testing and analysis of HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Temperature Controls, Lighting and electrical systems.
• Successfully complete safety training courses and adhere to safety procedures.
• Ability to communicate with campus customers, vendors and technicians.
• Ability to guide others in regard to necessary steps taken to troubleshoot, repair and install a variety of equipment and systems.
• Knowledge and application of a variety of city, state, and federal regulations.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex issues and problems.
• Capable of mentoring crew members and providing guidance throughout the completion of projects.
• Ability to share insight, expertise, and instruct others on complex tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a supervisory/lead role in a facilities environment.
• HVAC or Energy Management systems operation.
• CFC Universal, Journeyman Electrical, Journeyman Plumber, or certification of Energy Management System.
