Network Engineer

Our consultant, a large professional services firm located in the San Francisco, CA (Bay area) is looking to hire a Network Engineer for a 12-month contract. The consultant will be working a hybrid schedule with 1-2 days per week in the customer's office. (either San Francisco, Sunnyvale, San Ramon).

The consultant will be responsible for network and network security engineering, administration and support functions within the enterprise network infrastructure. The position is accountable for performing the analysis, design, implementation, administration, and maintenance on highly available network systems that meet business objectives and SLAs.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree required. Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Must have 6+ years of experience in a Network engineering role in a Cisco environment
• Must have 3+ years of experience in supporting/managing hosted Data Centers.
• CCNA or CCNP (R&S)
• Must have Azure experience
• Must have advanced knowledge and hands-on administration experience with the following technologies and concepts:
• Cisco Networking Equipment (Routers, Switches, Wireless, Firewalls, etc.)
• Experience in automating network deployments desired
• Cisco DNA administration experience desired - specifically using Cisco DNA in automation and support.
• BGP/OSPF architecture/design experience required
• SD-WAN, with Cloud Integration experience required
• Cisco Nexus Dashboard administration experience required

Desired Skills:

• Python skillset
• Ansible or Terraform administration experience
• Monitoring/Observability tools (Dynatrace)
• Cisco ISE administration experience
• Cisco Wireless solutions experience
• ITIL Certification and experience
