Job Description & Requirements, every other weekend Required: BLS, ACLS, experience Work Experience (Basic): 2 years of acute care RN experience Work Experience (Desired): None Education (Required): Diploma or Associate Education (Desired): Certification (Required): Registered Nurse Certification (Desired): Does RN need to know how to read tele strips? Yes Top diagnosis/procedures: Respiratory/ Renal Common equipment used: Vent, CRRT NxStage, Echo, Aritic Sun, EV1000, PCA pumps Does RN need to be able to titrate medication? Yes Common medications given: Propofol, Precedex, Fentanyl, Cardizem, Digoxin, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Amiodarone, Norephinephrine, Vasopressin, Epinephrine, Phenylephrine We are a very welcoming unit to all new travelers and senior nurses love to precept, new grads in our resident program. - Clinical Resource Nurse per shift- for both units - without patients They oversee admission/discharges/respond to Code 4/Nurse blue house wide/hold daily brief & debrief/assign staffing for oncoming shift. Patient Population: • Medical ICU - Heavy respiratory patients/ Renal patients/Cardiac patient Required Skills: • Airway/Bipap/Airvo/Vent management • Vaso/cardiac/sedation drips-titration per MAR • EKG interpretation • Familiar with and care of Arterial line/Central line/Femoral lines • We do TTM with the Artic Sun/ CRRT with Next Stage/ IABP/ ECHO for PE - • IV insertion • Blood draws • A-line management • CVP • IABP Sheath removal • Cardioversion/defibrillation • Epicardial pacer management • Procedural sedation • CPAP/BiPAP • Ventilators • Trach Care • Rapid Infuser Epidural/PCA pump • Feeding tubes • Continuous bladder irrigation
